Hi All,

Just announcing that the next Railscamp NZ will be from March
22'nd-24'th at Camp Kaitoke just out of Wellington.

There will be more details closer to the time. It's a nice venue with
bushy surrounds and we should have very affordable tickets.

Hope to see you there.

Uh, finishing on the Sunday (24th) or the Monday (25th) as per normal?

But generally - fantastic news, awesome work :)

Hey,

Is there any chance we could move discussions about Railscamp NZ to another mailing list?

The initial announcement and possibly an announcement when tickets go on sale are great but I can imagine for most people on the Railscamp mailing list the general discussion about the camp isn't overly relevant.

Cheers,

Odin

I dunno, there are generally more regular Railscamp AU attendees at Railscamp NZ than New Zealanders

Yep, it seems like 2:1 AU:NZ

There's enough overlap between Kiwi and Aussie railscampers going to both countries to justify using the same list.  If the number of emails bothers you, you could switch to daily digest or no emails until the next rails camp is due.

Weird, I thought this was the railscamp mailing list.

Mmmm, I think it's totally reasonable for railscamp convo to be on railscamp mailing list.

Also hilarious way to get lots of emails.

Keep em. Is reasonable. There is a lot of overlap in terms of audience that attend both AU and NZ camps.

In general, most messages are about whatever upcoming Railscamp is happening - which is in NZ at the moment. When it's an AU camp, there will be more mail about that instead.

Filter or unsubscribe till then. No big deal.

Fair enough. It was only a suggestion I thought would improve the list. If no one else agrees that's fine.

Thanks for your input everyone.
