Hi all,

I want to store files to be downloaded by users. I already have a
Cloud File service with Rackspace. Has anyone used Amazon S3 before?
What does it offer that I don't get with Rackspace Cloud File?

Thanks in advance for sharing

I'm currently on a project that uses Rackspace and we're quite happy with it.  I'm not expert enough to point out the differences between Rackspace's and Amazon's offerings, but if you're looking to use Paperclip to handle your model attachments, check out http://github.com/minter/paperclip  (It's a paperclip fork that supports Rackspace's Cloudfiles.)

Rackspace is also (I believe - at least for Jungle Disk) not charging for inbound bandwidth, which makes it slightly cheaper than S3. I like em both, but tend to deal with Amazon just because there are better management tools out there for EC2 and such (elasticfox and kinda lurving EBS and itching to try the new RDS).

ciao !
Daryl.
