1. Tells you what is going on in the Ruby world (we parse many many
RSS feeds).
2. Provides search of sites only relevant to Ruby, including Rails,
Merb, Rubinius and more.
Check it out at http://www.whatsupinruby.com and let us know what you
think. Read the About page to learn what we have in this beta release
and what is upcoming for 1.0.

Robert,
Neat idea. One minor thing that I must ask... why JSP over a Ruby framework? ;-)
Thanks. We are actually using a combination of Java, Python, and Rails to make up the entire site. This is the first in a series of sites that we are launching. More to come.

Colin - we will definitely let you know so you can add your feed and
site. We are looking at a 1.0 between 1-2 months if not sooner.
Jarkko - a lot of what we are doing with these sites
(whatsupinruby.com is the first to be release) is in the same vein as
Google in terms of using map/reduce over clusters of computers (and no
we are not trying to compete with Google just in case you were
wondering ;). To that end we are using a lot of python integrated with
Java server technologies.
