FusionDebug: Not the one and only debugger available for Railo ?

I have just skimmed through the latest Railo Newsletter and was astonished to read about a "Railo Debugger" ... Until now I thought that the (commercial) FusionDebug Debugger is the only alternative we have for debugging Railo Code; now I ask myself: Are there Railo Code Debugging choices out there beyond FusionDebug ? And if yes: Where can I find a detailed description of using that potential Railo Debugger ?

Have you watched the video? this is not like Fusion Debug so it's NOT step debugging.

Hello Mark !

The Railo Debugger link in the newsletter has led me to nowhere ...

Since a FusionDebug license is about $100, I am looking for step debugging alternatives ! I have just seen a post of Yours mentioning using the Java Debugger for Railo Code Debugging ... Is that what is meant with Railo Debugger ?

Fusion Debug is the only one I know.  I am not sure which post you are referring to, so I don't know the context and I cannot therefore clarify. 

Just so you know, writing step debugging software for editors is hard… $100 really isn't that much :/

I would think that $100 for the software will easily save you at least $100 worth of your time.

@Shannon and Mark: I have a decade-old hardcore debugging background in C ! Back in the day I already had the very powerful GNU Debugger at my disposal ! So when I entered the CFML world, I already knew that I cannot develop seriously without a step debugger over longer periods of time ... And yes: $100 is normally hilarious for such an invaluable helper software ! BUT: I am totally bankrupt and therefore have to deal with such peanuts currently ...

That post has to do with the Railo SOURCE code, not CFML code. So you can debug the Java code that Railo is built with not CFML code you are writing.

Yes, that makes sense ! I already had thought something along those lines ... Only I did not know that this Railo Group deals with questions related to the development of Railo itself, too ...
