Railo Technology, could you kindly make the Railo 3.1.017 for Mac
available for downloading?

And here's more detailed info about this version
Version Railo 3.1.1.017 final
Version Name Barry
Release date Nov 9, 2009

Also, please inform if generic code compiled with this version of
Railo for Windows would work for the same version of Railo for Mac.
Based on release date, probably it's a 32bit program. Definition of
"generic code" here: not Windows specific path reference such as C:
\blabla or any other Windows only reference.

Thank you.

Will you buy the pizza and beers if we do?

Would love to, and we'll become my bros if that's ok with you.

+1

The idea here, is that this isn't some faceless corporation attempting
to get rich or please investors. "Railo Technology" - as you address
them - are real people, with real families and plenty of other things to
do besides cater to the whims of mailing list posters. They do what they
do because they enjoy it. It's a great feeling to help others and be
appreciated for your efforts.

Buying them pizza and beer would be a great way to acknowledge that
these people are real human beings, not a faceless corporation, taking
time out of their day to do something that you (and probably only you) need.

Seems like a pretty fair (and honestly pretty sweet) deal to me.

Warm Regards,
Jordan Michaels

Well, one day if I make a trip to Switzerland, these guys are the
people that I would love to see first, even just to say "Hi" and then
of course beer and pizza too.

You don't need to make a trip to Switzerland, there's a paypal account for donations if you want to fund pizza for the group.

Pls let me know if this request is reasonable. Currently the project
is put on hold because of this porting problem. With regard to beer
and pizza that people talked about... of course it would be my
pleasure.

We're working on getting an archive up, although I dunno how far back
we're planning on going, especially with the .rc patch releases.

I'll send you a link to the old 3.1.1 express for the mac version, and
then theoretically you can put your .rc file from windows in there and
be running 3.1.1.017 on the mac.

Update:
It essentially is working, some minor issue is just my porting
neglect. Thank you all.

Update:We're now experiencing some weird errors."invalid compoment
definition, can't find railo.commons.html.ajax.AjaxBase"I'm searching
high and low for the "html" folder under"common" to no avail.  Where
is it?  thks.

And here's the exact err msg:
http://www.knowledgenotebook.com/err/error1.png

Btw, I've found an "html" folder and its subfolders of "ajax" and
"libs" under \Railo\lib\railo-server\context\library\tag\railo
\commons,
and have the guy with the Railo for Mac have them over to
\Railo\lib\railo-server\patches\railo\commons folder, but still same
error. Any idea where the ComponentLoader is looking for it? Thanks
in advance.

I wonder how much easier this would be to solve if you had a mac on hand. Just sayin'.

Are they using the same version of Railo as you are?

No. Mark, it is railo-3.1.1.000-railo-express-macosx, the closest
thing I could find from the Internet. I requested railo 3.1.017 for
Mac on Dec 2 here.

Todd, that is not an option for me.

oh yeah, on Friday evening. Most of us are in Europe btw, so that would have been rather late for us. (and of course, there is this strange thing called "The Weekend" over here)

ok, thanks, I'll have the guy with Railo for Mac give it a shot.

And I hope micha can continue to help to resolve it.

Micha is going to try and resolve a problem on a version that is a number of years old.

Why don't you just update to the latest? otherwise, you need specialist commercial support.
