Dear All,

I am pleased to announce that at the Steering Board meeting on 10th July,
Robin Cooksey was confirmed as the new Team Lead for the RadioVIS
Application Project.

Many of you will be aware of Robin from his valuable input on behalf of
Frontier Silicon, and will doubtless bring a fresh point of view to the
project. Please join me in welcoming Robin, and I look forward to seeing
him help the project to continued success.

Ben

Hi,

Thank you for the update, and thank you everyone for your support.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Ben for all of his efforts over the years that the RadioVIS project has been alive.
I think it is worth remembering what has been achieved by RadioVIS in that time - it has managed two iterations of a ratified specification, and has been implemented by a number of production devices, as well as being supported by a number of large broadcasters in production environments
I think this is something that Ben, and all the others who have contributed to RadioVIS should be proud of!

I've previously mentioned some of the areas that I'd like to see RadioVIS look at in future, but I'd really like to hear what everyone else thinks.

What areas of RadioVIS does everyone feel could benefit from some attention?  I'm interested both in any small issues or ambiguities that people see in the existing RadioVIS 1.1 specification, but also in any significant new areas that people are interested in exploring further.

Feel free to post any ideas to the list, or send them to me directly.

Best regards,
Robin
