Landlocked Dallas, Texas To Build Maritime Museum

DALLAS (AP) — Dallas may be more than 250 miles from the Gulf of Mexico, but that isn't stopping city officials and a foundation from planning an $80 million maritime museum.

The Dallas Maritime Museum, a planned 30,000-foot structure on a 3.5-acre site near the Trinity River, would become the showcase home for a soon-to-be retired nuclear attack submarine that bears the city's name.
