    Hello, everyone!

Here's the updated *R-SPEC 2013 Movie Nights Calendar*.

We had a great time at the first Movie Night (*The Host*) on April 6, so we
thought we'd try it again. Starting on April 27, we're looking at *Oblivion*and/or
*Evil Dead*. Two movie choices are included this time, just in case extreme
horror isn't your cup of tea (or blood)!

In the attached file, you'll find more science fiction, fantasy, horror,
and just wacky movies we felt other R-SPEC members would enjoy. We're not
trying for opening nights, but rather every couple of weeks we'll get
together for a Saturday matinee (around 3:45 - 4:30pm; times will vary).

Look for a Google Groups posting as we get closer to each movie date. If
you're interested, just plan on showing up and meeting other R-SPEC
members, their significant others, family, and friends at the ticket booth
or inside at the movie. Please confirm the show times for yourself by going
to the Cinemark Tinseltown website. Fandango or imdb links are included in
the PDF file for each movie title.

*Please note... There's certainly no obligation to attend any or all movies
or for getting together afterwards to chat about what we've just watched.
Attend if and when you can.*

    *Basic theater information...*

Where... *Cinemark Tinseltown*, 2291 Buffalo Road, Rochester, 14624

Gathering Time... *3:45 to 4:30 p.m.* (times will vary, depending on the
    movie)

If you're interested in attending or getting together after the movie,
please respond over Google Groups so everyone will know your plans and
ideas. There are several restaurants near the Tinseltown theater and,
certainly, other places can be suggested.

I hope to see some of you at the May 11 movie (*Iron Man 3*). I'm on
vacation next week, so I'll miss out on *Evil Dead*.

    Regards,
    Alan

I'm definitely interested. I'll let the members of the RFF know.

By the way, I'll be on Wease's show Tuesday to promote world book night. I plan on plugging the con, the RFF, R-Spec, Eeriecon, and whatever else fannish I can plug.

    Hey all,

It's been a while since I've been actively involved in the group -- not only because I'm not writing a whole lot, but not typically speculative fiction in nature.

But I thought I'd make a quick post that I wrote a screenplay in 2012 and will have a script-in-hand reading on Saturday, April 20 at 7 p.m. at the Flying Squirrel Community Space (285 Clarissa St.) "Citizens Band" is a screenplay for a feature-length film about two friends, Ann and Ben, who embark on a cross-country road trip that will change the direction of their relationship. It is a humorous drama with themes for an adult audience.

Thanks, and I hope to stay in touch!

    Hello, everyone!

Please join us on May 7 at the Barnes & Noble's Community Room in Pittsford
starting at 7 p.m., for a discussion with *Wayne Brown*, *Astronomicon* organizer
and *Rochester Fantasy Fans* president, on how to integrate magical weapons
and weapon systems into your stories.

Surf to the r-spec.org Home Page <http://r-spec.org/> for more information.
