Tonight's meeting (usual place & time*) will find Frank Glover leading a
discussion of where the space program is at. It's actually a really
exciting time, with the Opportunity rover still kicking years after the
scheduled end of its mission, Commercial Crew & Cargo going strong and
making great progress, and robotic and probe exploration forging ahead
despite cutbacks. Frank follows developments closely, and will be able to
help us understand what's important to worry about. [

I'm planning to set a hard stop for the meeting at about 8:45 to deal with
R-SPEC business, including distribution & presentation of the annual report
and election of a new board. I will finalize the list of board nominees
later this afternoon, and the floor will be open for additional nominations
at the meeting. (Board members must be members of R-SPEC during the time
they are serving.)

*PLACE: Pittsford Barnes & Noble, Community Room
TIME: gather from 7pm, presentation to begin promptly at 7:30.
Eric Scoles
Ruhan Zhao
Craig DeLancey
Alysse Kulikowski
Rob Tyler
David Henn
Janice Carello
Alicia Henn
Alan Michaels
The following people have confirmed that they are willing to continue to
serve, some with reservations:
Eric Scoles
Ruhan Zhao
Craig DeLancey
Alysse Kulikowski
David Henn
Janice Carello
Alicia Henn
As noted, we'll take nominations from the floor. We can also remove a
person from the board at their request.
The only constraints we have on the number of board members are:
- One person can serve in multiple offices;
- the offices of President and Treasurer cannot be filled by the same
person;
- the board must have an odd number of members;
- therefore, the minimum number of board members we need is three.
... so people should not feel an obligation to continue serving, nor is the
Board closed to new members.

Hi Eric, Can't make it tonight. Running night (as usual). Better count me out for board and marketing guy. Poor track record. But would be happy to assist in marketing projects, including follow-through with the template and cover. Sorry to leave you in the lurch. Just trying to be realistic about time and Tuesdays. Cheers, -Rob
