Maybe everyone already knew about this, but it’s always bugged me that in so many cases, stepping through something in the debugger would cause Quicksilver to lose focus, making it impossible to really test certain things. Especially things that are triggered simply by invoking the interface.

I saw some settings the other day that I’m finally trying out. If you set

Product → Debug Workflow → Xcode Always In Front

Xcode will become a small mini-player, until you hit a breakpoint, then it will expand so you can step through. Nothing you do in Xcode will give it focus* so the Quicksilver interface won’t get dismissed.

Hope that helps someone.

* the name of the setting seems backwards
