Hi,
I've successfully imported many hundred records (archival descriptions)
with CSV command line import utility. Everything works fine after
rebuilding the search index (twice in a row).
Everything is working fine but there's still s little (annoying) bug. In
every arvhical description I put "es" in culture column (spanish language).

 Hi,

I've just exported some Archival Descriptions in XML EAD format. I can
modify the output XML and upload it, so I can get a new Archival
Description based on the first one. Everything works fine, except for the
Digital Object linked to the first description. I can't see any reference
to it in the XML file (and neither, of course, in the new Archivad

 Hi Anne-Marie,

Please read my response below.

Yes, you can do that! The good news is that you don't really need to create
a new entity because the current data model is flexible enough to store
your own template. If you dig into the code you will find that ISAD, DC,
MODS and RAD are represented through the same entity:

Yes, but that won't be easy. I've seen other projects implementing LDAP auth
as an external module (see LDAP auth
extension<[link]>for
mediawiki), but there some design aspects that you should
analyze thoroughly, like the fields being mapped, a fallback system,

 Hi Sebastjan!
Are you worried about a brute-force attack against the login page? Well, I
have to say that captchas tend to be annoying for users and you'll find lot
of people going in other directions, like forcing to use secure passwords,
limiting the number of login tries for IP, etc... This said, if you really

 Hi there,

Just a thought, but would it make sense to make the QubitEvent class
more generic, with the kind of nested set behaviour the various other
Qubit objects have (with parent_id, lft, rgt fields).

I may have misunderstood the function of the class, but we want to
make bulk importing (and if necessary reverting bulk imports)

 Hi Mike,
I'm going to bump this question to the public qubit-dev discussion list
as any response/thread will be useful to others for future reference.
The strategy of isolating your customizations to a plugin sounds like a
good way to manage the issue of staying compatible with Qubit/ICA-AtoM
core over future releases. If your customizations are generic enough to

 Hi there!

I'm just investigating the possibility of making some small changes to
the UI of ICA-Atom to support our project, so I've checked out the
most recent release (1.1 I believe) from the Subversion repo. It all
seems to be installed and running fine.

Before I go and mess with anything I'd like to ensure the test suite

 Dear all,
Similar to Tom's post about Hypatia and within the context of our
discussions with the ArchivesSpace team and their call for community
collaboration, I'd like to bring the Qubit Toolkit project [1] to this
list's attention. Our company Artefactual Systems [2] uses Qubit to
develop the open-source ICA-AtoM [3] and Digital Collection Builder

 Hi all,
I've run into an odd problem which I'm assuming is somehow related to
our local configuration.
On our production server, if a user in the editor group (default
permissions) imports a digital object, they get an internal server error
when they try to view the record for that object. The error log gives us:

 Hi all,
I have removed a Subversion external definition mapping to an old FluentDOM
Subversion server. If you want to keep your Qubit trunk working copy
updated, you have to remove vendor/FluentDOM directory and then run svn up
as usually:
$ cd /path/to/qubit-trunk-svn
$ rm -rf vendor/FluentDOM
$ svn up
