Subject: [QLab] Routing live audio via cue lab??

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could offer some advice to help me overcome
a problem with an upcoming show design?  I used qlab for the show's
first incarnation and I am hoping to add to the design by using a live
microphone feed and manipulating it with live effects. Is it possible
to do this via qlab or triggering other software via qlab? Possibly
max/msp? I am hoping to synch the live audio manipulation with the
playback of a soundscape from within qlab that will be running at the
same time.

Any advice or tips on how to achieve this would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Danny

Qlab can send MIDI to Max/MSP and easily control anything you'd want.  I've also had success with Qlab and Logic's Mainstage, and by far the best option, MIO console controlling the internal Mixer in at MH 2882.
To accomplish this you just need ot figure out what MIDI can be mapped to the control you'd like to change, have Max/MSP, or Mainstage listen to the IAC bus (OSX's inter application MIDI routing option), and have Qlab send to it.
I hope that helps a little.
