[QLab] Ever tried

Has anyone ever tried or had success with the following...

Object.

Control of of the sheld dvd player via qlab.

Thinking....

Qlab triggered Apple Script to iRed2 using irTrans sub transceiver.

Sounds simple enough.  Just wanted to see if anyone has used this setup or tried anything similar in the past.

I haven't done this, but iRed2's AppleScript dictionary looks pretty straightforward:

What is particularly neat is the "Scripting Clips" popup which appears to put exactly the AppleScript command you need onto the clipboard - so no chance to play "guess the syntax"...
