I'm bringing all the Shen ports up to date before Xmas and writing to
the people who created them.

I'd like to have versions of ShenJ and ShenECL.

What I want is that the port be placed in a zip file in a permanent
link that will contain the latest version of your port. The user will
be able to access the software in one click. Please, don't send a URL
into an HTML page where the downloader has to hunt your port down.
One click is all it should take.

For chibi-shen:

Latest stable version ZIP and tarballs (will always be the most up to
date working version):
zip: https://github.com/tizoc/chibi-shen/archive/chibi-shen-current.zip
tar.gz: https://github.com/tizoc/chibi-shen/archive/chibi-shen-current.tar.gz

Latest version of the code (may be unstable):
zip: https://github.com/tizoc/chibi-shen/archive/master.zip

Version 0.3 which was released a few weeks ago (right now "latest" it
is the same as 0.3):
zip: https://github.com/tizoc/chibi-shen/archive/chibi-shen-0.3.zip
tar.gz: https://github.com/tizoc/chibi-shen/archive/chibi-shen-0.3.tar.gz

Yes, chibi-scheme. I'm rewritting the kl-to-scheme translator (in Shen
this time) to make it easier to target other Scheme implementations
(even if they don't implement R7RS). I want to try my luck with
Racket[1], I think the result will be a good deal more performant than
the chibi-scheme port. Other than that, Racket provides an interesting
development environment (DrRacket[2]) that can be adapted to work with
other languages, adding support for Shen (if possible) would be
interesting (but thats a longer-term goal).
