greengene ID

Hi,

I have a simple question.
I'm using Greengene database for assingment.
Greengene's ID is prokMSA_id, is it right?

Hello,

The IDs used by Greengenes used to be known as prokMSA_id but are now known as gg_id. prokMSA_id is deprecated, but still maintained and equal to gg_id as of Greengenes 13_5.

GG_ids of Greengenes 13_5, ex. 2727521 and many others are not equal to prokMSA_id.
When I searched these ids,  results was No records were founds to match.

Hey Woosang,

Where did you search? Below is a query against the Greengenes 13_5 release database:

mysql> select gg_id,prokmsa_id from greengenes where gg_id=2727521;

+---------+------------+

| gg_id   | prokmsa_id |

+---------+------------+

| 2727521 |    2727521 |

+---------+------------+

1 row in set (0.00 sec)

mysql>

At the greengene web site, I want to get information of prokMSA_id 2727521(example).
But, I can't.

The tools on http://greengenes.lbl.gov have been deprecated (see the banner at the top). Todd, do you know if there are plans to resurrect this functionality on Second Genome's systems?

Hi Daniel, yes some of the same data on each record will be available on http://greengenes.secondgenome.com but not all those LBL attributes for each record will be calculated and displayed.
