Hi,

I recently wrote a very high-volume server in Node.js, as an alternative to a Python server on AppEngine, & found it quite simple & cool. Most of us anyway move more & more of the application logic to the JavaScript front-end. Is it time to switch entirely to JavaScript?

I wrote an initial post about it (part of a series I plan to write):

Would be happy to hear your flames..

There's also an event on JavaScript later this month (hosted by my company), with 3 talks on the subject (I especially recommend the talk on CoffeScript & Node.js, by Adi Baron):

Sorry..

Flames? I find your post ultra-interesting.

I believe web development moves so fast, locking yourself to one framework or another is simply wrong. Being open-minded about programming languages and paradigms is the only way to keep up. Also, it's just much more fun.

So congratulations, and please let us know when part 2 is out.

Yo'av
