I wonder, if we could optimise the process of providing up-to-date plugins.

Example:
In current PythonXY (acc. to site StandardPlugins):

* Matplotlib 1.1.1
* NumPy 1.6.2

Upstream is at

* Matplotlib 1.2.1
* NumPy 1.7.0

https://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/matplotlib/matplotlib/matplotlib-1.2.1/matplotlib-1.2.1.win32-py2.7.exe
http://sourceforge.net/projects/numpy/files/NumPy/1.7.0/numpy-1.7.0-win32-superpack-python2.7.exe/download

So due to the accelerated pace of the (many) plugins we have, we are
always running out sync with upstream.
It is not nice to always have new issues like "update this and that lib".
Especially the base libs for todays computing like pandas are really
releasing fast.

Maybe we could have a buildbot or something similar?

http://buildbot.net/buildbot/docs/current/manual/introduction.html

Just some ideas.

Kind regards,
Timmie

Numpy is updated for quite some time:
http://pythonxy.googlecode.com/files/numpy-1.7.0-1_py27.exe

Matplotlib is not updated due to http://matplotlib.org/1.2.1/users/whats_new.html#known-issues-in-the-matplotlib-1-2-release . I need time to investigate this.

The list of pending updates can be found at https://code.google.com/p/pythonxy/issues/list .

Although updating the packages has been simplified recently it is not yet buildbot ready. As always - lack of time.

Hi Gabi,
We are very close to this date! Do you think that this is going to happen soon?

I'll do my best in the time available. We are not at the deadline yet :)
