PyHUG June Meeting Announcement: PyPy

Dear All,

When you started to register PyCon Taiwan but found that the registration is closed?  Missed the talks and Pythonistas in the conference?  Other than wait a year for PyCon Taiwan 2013, you can come to Hsinchu for PyHUG.  Yes, we will still meet in this PyConTW month.

We cordially invite you to the Python Hsinchu User Group (PyHUG) meeting on June 18th, 2012 (Mon.).  We will meet at 7:00pm in Rm 115 of Innovation Incubation Center, National Tsing-Hua University.  You can find the direction at http://files.meetup.com/2179791/Innovation_Incubator_Location.doc.  Please sign up the event at http://www.meetup.com/pythonhug/events/61065022/.

You can reach us online at the python.tw mailing list https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/pythontw, or Freenode/#python.tw IRC channel.  All attendees will share the siting rent expense.  We will collect the money at the beginning of each quarter, i.e., January, April, July, and October.  The regular rate is NTD 400 per person per quarter.  The student rate (high schoolers and undergraduates, but graduate students do not apply) is NTD 150 per person per quarter.

Abstract of “PyPy: Runtime and Dynamic Compilation Framework”

PyPy is not just another Python interpreter.  It is rather a compiler framework of dynamic languages that exploits the abundant resources of Python.  This talk will discuss the architecture of PyPy, RPython used by PyPy, translation, PyPy toolchain, and the new applications enabled by PyPy.

「PyPy 從執行環境到動態編譯器系統」摘要

PyPy 並非僅是另一個 Python 直譯器，事實上是藉由 Python 豐富的資源，來打造一個適合建構動態程式語言執行環境的編譯器系統框架。本議題將從分析 PyPy 架構開始，涉及 PyPy 的 RPython，Translation / PyPy toolchain，到截至目前的若干成果與嶄新的應用型態。

台灣公司的下班時間真的是太晚了點。一天那麼久的時間耗在公司裡，不曉得是不是要大家多組幾塊 PCB。不過現實如此，大家也只能努力看看，希望將來可以慢慢改善了。
