Many of the folks are today's python sg meetup at hackerspacesg would like to help out with pycon 2012 in whichever small way possible. Is it possible for the organizing committee to provide a list of things that are outstanding?

Some of the things that we thought of:
- are there any existing task manager tools that are used to organize the event, which access can be given?
- which local and overseas groups have been contacted?
- is there any mailing list used for planning event that we could subscribe to.
- what is the budget to cover traveling costs potential overseas speakers?
- are there any groups seemingly unrelated to python that might still give interesting talks, i.e. apache, Postgres ect.

Thanks in advance,

Luther

We can just use the Wiki at Python.org itself. +1 for that.

BTW,  I am against an yet another site another mailing list, another group, unless we kill some inactive ones. We seem to have plenty of them.

For the conference purpose, I shall create a wiki page at python.org itself.

Pls also see this group https://groups.google.com/group/pycon-apac/ It was created after last year's Pycon but unfortunately did not gain much traction.

I think a mailing list + a wiki should be just the tools that we need. The list for discussing things, the wiki for maintaining results and open TODOs so that everyone can look it up at one place and does not need to scan to a dozen of mailing list threads.

Is there a link to the wiki page already?

Cheers,
Martin

As Preetam has requested, is there a link to some marketing material that he can use to circulate when he travels around SEA?

Will the T-shirt competition dateline be extended?

I wanted to send the details of it out to other schools within my university but noticed that the dateline is over.

We have 3 entries for T-shirt design. Let's extend it for 1 week and
then vote the submissions as a group.

How does that sound?

Thanks,
Senthil
