The Irish Centre for High-End Computing (ICHEC) in association with Amazon Web Services (AWS) are organising the "Software Carpentry in the Cloud Boot Camp" on 1-3 September 2012 in Dublin. This 3-day boot camp will cover the fundamentals of software carpentry such as the tools and techniques that enhance the design, development, execution and testing of software, with particular reference to dealing with today's high-throughput and time-critical computing problems. Emphasis will be placed on software deployment in the cloud using AWS to improve software scalability.

Places for this event are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please submit your application as soon as possible.

Hi all,

just a reminder about the "Software Carpentry in the Cloud Boot Camp" on 01st ~ 03rd September.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about Software Carpentry techniques and their applications using the latest technology in Cloud Computing, as taught by staff from the Irish Centre for High-End Computing (ICHEC) and Amazon Web Services (AWS). There'll also be a programming challenge on the last day of the boot camp, where you can test your skills, practice the concepts covered and compete along with your team for prizes awarded by AWS.
