Hi All,

There will be no "On the Door" ticket sales on Saturday.

People are welcome to take part in sprints on Sunday as it's free participation. Bring along your laptops.

Cheers,

Wow! Well done Vicky and co.

I'm still not sure if I'm free but the decision has been made for me
by the great turn-out.

Looking forward to catching up on videos of the event.

Best of luck to all the speakers, organisers, and attendees.

-John

Sounds good. I'm looking forward to it. This will be my first PyCon. Bought a ticket for €60 a month ago. How much does the entry fee cover? Will I e.g. have to pay for individual talks or workshops.

Hi Sigmund,

It covers:
  • Sat
    • Breakfast (warm pastries, fruit, muffins, fruit, tea/coffee)
    • Top up on refreshments mid-morning (there's no break though, just wander out and pick up what you want)
    • lunch
    • mid-after noon break
    • 2 course dinner
    • Beginner's track all day Sat, two normal tracks for talks
    • open spaces
    • Lightning talks (if you give one, you get a €5 drink voucher)
    • keynotes (x2)
    • Just like last year, we have prizes for a raffle (books, games, and a surprise)
  • Sun
    • Sprints (free anyway)
    • open spaces (also free)
    • Intro to python-related technology tutorials
    • There's no food or drink provided on Sunday
That's a brief overview, so fed all Saturday but no on Sunday. :-)

So for €40/50/60, it's quite a bargain IMHO.

Cheers,

/// Vicky

The Short version, everything is included, all you have to do is buy your
own booze :)

Hello everyone,

Last minute decision, sure there's not a ticket left ? Somebody has one and don't want it anymore ?? I wasn't sure if I would be free and finally I am....

Cheers,

Joanne

Hi Joanne,

There's no tickets, hence reason I mentioned that there will be no "On The Door" ticket sales on the day.
Only badge wearers will be allowed into events on Saturday, and tutorials on Sunday.

Sprints and open spaces on Sunday are free for all, you don't have to register.

We will have people manning the doors on both days, so all those who are pick up their badges on Saturday, be sure to wear them.

Cheers,

Should I bring the confirmation email as proof of registration?

Hi Sigmund,

We have a list of names from online & sponsor registration.
Once you turn up and registered on Saturday morning, you will receive your badge, swag bag, etc.

Hi there Vicky,

unfortunately I'll be unable to attend PyCon, but there's some
seriously good talks lined up.
Do you intend to record them and make them available in any way
afterwards?

Thank you,
Francisco Passos

Hi Francisco,

Yes, we will be recording the talks on Saturday, but not the
Beginner's Track as they are all tutorials.

Once they are ready, we will try to upload them here:
http://vimeo.com/groups/pyconireland
But I only have 5G limit each week, so around 2 videos per week.

I will send an email when they go up. Plus I will also add the link
under the talks.

Cheers,

/// Vicky
