Hi All,

I'm Anoop Thomas Mathew, and I'm new in list ( mimicking Borat :P)

I'm a Python Software Architect, was working in Hyderabad and professionally into python for past 2 years.
I got relocated to Kerala recently. Do we have some kind of meet up or something going on?
At Hyderabad, we had some meetings and talks and discussions once in a while.
I propose to have something similar, if we don't have it in Kerala.
Anyone interested?
And if we have, let me know the details.

Thanks and Regards,
Anoop Thomas Mathew

I am a student. I am not much involved in Python, but interested to learn.

i am also interested in a meetup if it has some classes, tutorials, sprints etc, most likely on PyQt, Django etc.

Hi Anoop, you are at Kerala now?
change in job, huh?

There's no such meet-ups in Kerala AFAIK.
Well, you can take that initiative too ;)

Good luck.

hi,
anyone having a good experience in python, or any related specific
libraries can have a sprint or workshop. I have a basic knowledge in
python and writing a blog, opencvpython.blogspot.com.

So i would prefer a workshop on django, pyqt, scipy, python packaging,
multiprocessing, python-fedora related etc. Instead of having a large
number of introductory talks, it is always better to have a good long
workshop on specific topic, so that at end of it, students can develop
something on their own.
Would like to hear your suggestions.

Tangentially related. PyCon India is happening on Sep 28, 29 and 30.
There are talks on many of the things you've mentioned in your email.

If you and others on the list have not registered, I highly recommend
that you do so and come down. It will be worth your time -

hi noufal
i have seen that. But i doubt if there is any basic workshop on any
subject other than general talks by great people(for which i dont have
enough knwledge on python). Also coming to bangalore is also a
problem.
By the way where r u from kerala? I am from malappuram.

You should look at the tutorials over here
http://in.pycon.org/2012/funnel/pyconindia2012/

Some might be suitable for you. Also, there's a month left. That's
enough time to go through a bunch of python tutorials to get some
familiarity with the language.

Most importantly, you'll get to meet a lot of experienced Python
programmers. That's the main value in attending such an event. The
benefits last for a long time.

Perhaps but it's easier than travelling abroad to meet a large group
of good Python programmers.

I'm from Edappal but currently working out of Bangalore.
