When there is an exception inside a call back function I get a message like
this

Exception IndexError: IndexError('list index out of range',) in <function
pipm_birth_death_handler at 0x9971d4c> ignored

would be more usefull if it can also provide the python traceback, with
python line function/file/lineno information
