Wanted python freelance for training in Vienna

The company I.R.I.S. based in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, is looking for a sub-contractor in order to complete an offer for one customer based in Vienna.

 

The scope of the offer is to deliver Python courses designed for scientists and SW Engineers with medium to extensive experience in developing software in C, C++, Perl, Shell Script. Experience with OO-SW development is limited to few participants and shall therefore not be assumed.

The courses shall be delivered in Vienna (premises of the customer, Monday- Friday, 9:00 to 18:00 with one hour lunch break) for a duration of one week. Potentially if the contract is signed, the mission is expected to start in November. This might be renewed two times, one week in December and one additional week early 2013.

 

The delivery method:

·        English Language

·        Interactive, computer-based instruction with a max of 2 participants per workstation (the customer has Python 2.6.4 installed on Linux workstations)

 

The customer would like to cover the following topics:

·        Hands-on introduction to python language constructs, supporting programming paradigms & python programming best practices

·        Hands-on introduction to running python interactively and the application development environments

·        Using python to connect to an Oracle and postgreSQL DBs using SqlAlchemy

·        Executing SQL statements within a python program, retrieving desired data sets and updating the DB with action statements

·        Packaging, deploying & installing Python applications, including tools to isolate the python environment like virtualenv

·        Interfacing python to C/C++ applications

·        Implementing classes & objects, declaring & modifying objects, encapsulating functionality in classes, initializing objects with constructors, accessing derived data with properties & overloading operators

·        Reusing functionality through inheritance, defining abstract classes & interfaces and overriding methods for dynamic behavior

·        Importing and reloading modules, creating your own modules, referencing functions from modules and combining modules into packages

·        Reading & writing text and binary files, importing the OS module for directory management

·        Error and exception handling

·        Introduction to the Django framework and producing HTML with Django templates

·        Etc.

 

 

The customer expects a hard copy of the training material. The material shall be detailed enough to enable the participants to use it as an effective training reference material after the training. The material shall contain exercises along with the solutions.
