I am using Windows 7 [64 bit]. I installed PyScripter before
installing python, and received this error, which might be expected.
Then I installed Python 2.7.1 (2.7.1150).

Then I launched once, and was able to run PyScripter. I wrote a hello-
world kind of thing, and ran it, and it ran fine.

Then I exited out of PyScripter, and attempted to launch it a second
time. Now it seems PyScripter fails on each subsequent relaunch with
this error.

Any ideas?

Did you install the 64bit python install or just the 32bit?
Is python on your enviroment variable to the path you install it?

Just some ideas....

Wait. Stupid problem. I deleted all the other shortcuts that were
installed (Python for x.x) and the (Latest Version) shortcut, which I
think I might have clicked on accidentally. Now I have no problems.

It would be kind of nice if the installer for PyScripter (Latest
Version) shortcut actually detected and launched reliably version 2.7
which is the only version I have installed.

But I'm cool now.
