Better late than never, here is the announcement for our next meeting (this coming monday). There is plenty of space for lightning talks. Stan Thomas might do one, and he'll post the subject to the list if that is the case.

I'll be talking about digital audio and Python, a talk prompted by my recording a Jazz band live (Sundays @ 5pm, Foothills Brewery)... Where else but at a PYPTUG meeting can you hear about Nyquist-Shannon, Python, digital audio, dithering and Jazz??

PYthon Piedmont Triad User Group meeting

Come join PYPTUG at out next meeting (March 25th 2013) to learn more about the Python programming language, modules and tools. Python is the perfect language to learn if you've never programmed before, and at the other end, it is also the perfect tool that no expert would do without.

What

Meeting will start at 5:30pm.

We will open on an Intro to PYPTUG and on how to get started with Python, then with News from the community, PYPTUG activities and members projects.

Main talk: Python @ 144 dB

The main talk this month will be "Python @ 144dB".

Francois Dion will present Python at 144 decibels, a talk on digital audio and Python. What's with the 144dB? Come and learn the answer in a talk that will feature local Jazz, Nyquist-Shannon, Python tools and APIs.

Lightning talks!

We will have some time for extemporaneous "lightning talks" of 5-10 minute duration. If you'd like to do one, some suggestions of talks were provided here, if you are looking for inspiration. Or talk about a project you are working on.


We'll then wrap up the meeting.
