I recently tried to upgrade a web application from Python 2.5 to 2.7.
I am running it under IIS using isapi-wsgi and I was getting errors
when pyodbc was imported. After lots of troubleshooting, I came
across this thread:

Which lead me to patch msvc9compiler.py and re-compile pyodbc for:

and that solved my problem. Hope it saves someone else a long night.
