Not trying to pass the buck, but the issue will be in the Access driver if 
anything.  This is something that is constantly tested with pyodbc and I 
use in 24x7 system critical servers, so I'd notice there also.

I'll look into it, but Access isn't a very good database.  If at all 
possible, consider using one of the free versions of SQL Server.
