HDF5 handler

A while ago there was talk of porting the PyDAP 2 HDF5 handler to PyDAP 3. Has that been done? One of my data sources is exclusively HDF5.

Hi Roberto,

If you are looking into creating a HDF5 handler for PyDAP 3 it will be
nice if it can handle files with groups in a sensible manner (I don't
know if your PyDAP 2 HDF5 handler did that).

Roberto,

One thing you might do is to look at the mapping between DAP2 and HDF5
that Kent Yang wrote up here: http://www.esdswg.org/spg/rfc/esds-rfc-017/
. This will save you the effort of coming up with a way to deal with
Groups in DAP2 and also result in pydap and Hyrax producing the same
output for the same data files.
