String attributes containing a semicolon

Using Pydap 3.0.rc.4 I'm unable to read netCDF files with attributes
with strings that contain semicolons

The DAS contains this:

and it the semicolon on the line that starts "sea ice" that seems to
cause the problem.

The DAS contains this and it the semicolon on the line that starts
"land" that seems to cause the problem.
