Pycassa and RESTful API

I am still learning a lot about Pycassa and reading up on how to use it. I am trying to decide whether it is the right thing to use for my project. Can Pycassa be used with some of the apps out there that help you build a RESTful API such as Tastypie or Django Rest Framework? Both of these applications require you to make resources from models and you do not use models with Pycassa as far as I know??

I'm not familiar with either of those projects, but I suspect that you would have to do a lot of work to make those work with pycassa if they require Django models.  Perhaps somebody on the mailing list will have more experience with trying this.
