MySQL Bug report and fix (autoconnect =0 => need to commit())

Hi all!
I am running
PyICQt Version: 0.8.1.5-5
with
python-mysqldb Version: 1.2.3-1
using
mysql-server Version: 5.5.28+dfsg-1
and encountered the following bug:
Nothing was ever written into the database. After some debugging I found
out that apparently autocommit is disabled by default.

Thank you for your response.
I have since changed to Spectrum. I have setup spectrum and when i run it,
it connects and disconnects repeatedly saying IO Error.
When i check the logs for jabber it says:
** Reason for termination = ** {{invalid_domain,97}
Does anyone know what is wrong? There is not much documentation on errors

pyirct failing

I have set up jabberd14 and the pyirct on a Debian machine. When I try
to join a channel via the transport, the following shows up in the
jabberd log (I have obfuscated the hostname as it is a private server;
the hostname is valid):

Check filenames - it want move file, but one already exists.

Or try modern gateway Spectrum IM ([link]) and don't
bother about PyAIMt :)

PyYIMt init script for Fedora

I've been trying to get an init script working for starting the
transport but it just hangs after I issue the command. I seems that
the runuser isn't releaseing the process to the background. Has anyone
a working init script for Fedora 14? If you would like to see what I
have so far I can post.

That's what I do. I believe, in psi, the Button is labeled "Deny".

Auth request really comes again and again on new logins of you (in psi)
just close the window. You need to explicitly decline the request.

Hi,

I have pyICQt connected to an ejabberd. I use psi as a client.

There are three ICQ accounts that persistently keep sending me
Authorization requests. Is there any possibility to ignore these
accounts via the psi -> pyicqt -> ejabberd -> icq chain, or do I need
to use the native ICQ client to do so?

PyMSNt cannot log on to MSN server

Dear all,

First of all I want say sorry about my not good English. Now I will go
direct to my problem.

I have build a Ejabberd Server, it is working fine. So I install and
configure PyICQt and PyMSNt for transport from my Ejabberd Server to
ICQ and MSN server.
When I start PyICQt, It worked find, but PyMSNt does not.

Problem adding new yahoo contacts using pyyimt

Hi,

I am using PyYimt over openfire server. When I try to add a new
contact using pyyimt in pidgin, ideally, the new contact should get an
auth request from me. but this doesn't happen.

The scenario:

Logged into yahoo client using ID example1, logged into pyyimt in
pidgin using ID example2.

Proved that whereas my messages get through, messages back are
rejected.

They are in the same folder, so not the situation you imagine.

And yahoo.py and ylib.py in the same folder, if not then _ALL_ bets are off.
Make sure they are, otherwise you'll end up with obscure errors.

I have regained sight of one of my missing contacts, but all that
happens when I try to send a message is that their "typing" flag comes
on... I never get anything back from them.

Over the last few days I have had two of my Yahoo contacts say they
cannot see me any more - and I cannot see them either - however,
others seem to be OK.

I'm using PyICQt together with ejabbered on Ubuntu. We are running 2
transport-instances (one for every domain). About 4 days ago both
instances stopped working, as I can't connect to it.
The server still recognizes the transport and gajim shows me the
transport the same way as ever. I'm still able to edit the transport

For some reason, "hg patch" wouldn't work on Norman's latest source code so
I had to apply them using the UNIX commands... go figure.

Hi,
This is due to twisted losing the removePID() call. I believe this is
fixed in latest pyMSNt, so the problem is the Debian package being out
of date. I must admit I've rolled my own pyMSNt package as I've been
fiddling with it.

I've already done all the initial preparation...
1) I've added the listener for the service in ejabberd.cfg (using port 5349)

2) added xmpppy folder to PyYIMt

I am in the process of moving my Jabber setup to a new server - partly
to reduce the amount of hardware I'm running. I have installed
ejabberd, pyaimt, pyicqt and pymsnt quite successfully from Debian,
and have tried to get pyyimt in the same way as on my old server.

The problem comes when I try to run it... ./yahoo.py gives:

as long as it looks like a shelf, it'll work -
