I was just wondering if there is such a thing as an XMPP transport.

With all the XMPP based services coming out these days it would be
great to be able to add them to one XMPP account through the use of a
transport.

Gmail is my XMPP provider of choice because of its nice archiving and
contact management so I'd love to be able to manage multiple xmpp
accounts through the Gmail service.

I've never heard of an XMPP transport but I think this would be very
handy for managing the one account. Especially now that there are XMPP
services coming out of the woodwork.

I'd be interested to hear other's thoughts on this.

Cheers,
David

Nice Norman, thanks!

So I take it this isn't available through a discovery service from any
public servers yet?

Cheers,
David

Not that I know of.  There's one running at Gizmo, but I'm not sure if it's public.  There may be one or two others, I think the best would be to ask on the jadmin or operators list if anyone is running a jabber/xmpp transport.
