HELP TO CONFIG THE STREAMING OPTION

Hi, I am trying to configure the streaming option but I have doubts?
do I need a server with streaming options??? or the jw player do that
for me??....I do not know much about streaming, so, if you could help
me to figure out how it works , I will be very
thankfull!.......please! I do not understand that of rtmp and
http...or where do I have to put my video for streaming of this
module.....i need your helpppppp, thank you
