Subject: via Bob Reckman, BPW meeting about Pulaski Park
Via Bob Reckman:

Dear Fellow Pulaski Park Design Committee members and other interested
citizens:
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season.  This e-mail is to
let you know that the BPW will hold a special meeting at 7 PM
Wednesday, Jan. 9 to talk about Pulaski Park. Our regular business
will be conducted at a meeting at 5:30 the same day.
I anticipate the following sequence of events.  Terry Culhane and
I will present our report about the committee and the process we
used.  Nancy Denig and Loren Galesi will then make a power point
presentation about the plan that the committee created.  This will
certainly include the information about the plan's impact on the trees
in the Park that Loren presented at our meeting on Dec. 18.  This will
be the first time the BPW as a group sees this plan.  The BPW will
take as long as it needs to understand the details of the plan and our
process.  I will then lay out the options that I think the BPW  has.
The BPW will then have a discussion of those options  (as well as any
other options that they identify) and whatever else is on their minds
about Pulaski Park.  The meeting will then be opened for citizen
comment. I think that we should hear from anyone who wants to speak at
least once before allowing people to speak again.  I hope that people
will limit their remarks to 3 minutes.  I do  not think that the BPW
needs to make a final decision at that meeting.  If the BPW chooses to
allow people to submit alternative schematic, we will need to
determine a time line for their submission and a fair and clear
process for their evaluation.  This will clearly need substantial time
and thought.
I encourage all of you to attend the meeting if you like. This is
especially true for people who would like the opportunity to develop
an alternative schematic plan.  Please spread the word about this
meeting to anyone who you think might be interested in attending.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions or questions.
Thanks;

Bob Reckman
