Summer training opportunities

Hello all,

I'd like to invite everyone to a couple more opportunities UW CSE is offering for K-12 teachers this summer.

Emmanuel Schanzer, the brains behind the Bootstrap curriculum for learning video game programming and algebra will be coming out August 10th for a day-long training.  You can learn more and register at http://www.bootstrapworld.org/workshops/  For those of you joining us for CS4HS, this is a way to prolong the fun!

Stuart Reges and I will be leading an informal AP CS sharing session on July 30-31.  We'll take time to go through projects you might consider giving to your students and share exercises that we have found effective.  We'd love to welcome anyone preparing for the upcoming school year.  http://bit.ly/JGGI7q

I'd also like to invite you to 'like' the UW CSE outreach initiative page on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/uwdawgbytes  We'll put all our events on there as well as the PSCSTA events (if you don't mind!).  Hopefully it will be a good place to generate buzz about K-12 computer science education in the Seattle area!
