Subject: Progress in upgrading to Linux kernel 2.6.30
Dear all:

I've uploaded some kernel-related files to repo and ftp:

1) config-2.6.30

http://download.xpud.org/devel/kernel/config-2.6.30

First config file based on previous 2.6.28 setting.
This is also in the repo under mkxpud/config/.

2) vmlinuz-2.6.30

http://download.xpud.org/devel/kernel/vmlinuz-2.6.30 (2.9MB)

A bzImage format of kernel compiled against the config above.
This is also in the repo under mkxpud/deploy/.

3) module-2.6.30.tgz

http://download.xpud.org/devel/kernel/module-2.6.30.tgz (21MB)

Full stripped kernel modules compiled against the config above,
including "rtl8180/rtl8187" and staging drivers "rt2860sta".

4) default-module-2.6.30.tgz

http://download.xpud.org/devel/kernel/default-module-2.6.30.tgz

Only one module presented, the Broadcom STA driver "wl.ko".
The version number is 5.10.91.9 patched.
You can find the patch file from ftp and also here:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=7464436

This is also in the repo under mkxpud/kernel/module/.

Please advice on default selection in terms of network devices
enabling,
also test if there existing any regression.

I'll keep testing asynchronous function call, different compression,
and update rootfs also cookbook soon.

Best Regards,
penk
