Staying healthy is more than eating right and exercising 30 minutes a day. It is attitude, perseverance and help from those around you. If you have support you can do anything. Intensify those habits that are already in your daily life; you are already taking steps to being healthy.

Nine Ways to Stay Healthy

There are those habits that you must develop in order to stay healthy. Nine different ways that includes diet and exercise as well as sleep and attitude. Surprise! You are already doing some of these activities that keep you healthy.

-Keep up your healthy eating habits. Stay away from fad diets that eventually causes you to gain back your weight 10 times. Get all the carbs, fats, and proteins you need at every meal. You will have a healthy heart and brain plus an awesome immune system if you eat nutritious foods. Get the proper amount of enzymes, vitamins, oils and minerals that you need.

-Sleep at least seven to eight hours at night. If you sleep well you tend not to overeat. The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition studies prove that men who only sleep four hours a night, ate at least 500 more calories per day than those who slept for eight hours.

-Keep up your exercise programs. If you dont want to go to a gym, do strength training at home. Muscular people burn more calories even while sleeping. Do cardio by practicing interval training. This is alternating between low and high intensity workouts. This is a very quick way to improve the health of your heart.

-What is your passion? Set aside some time for yourself to do what you want. Go to yoga class, play a musical instrument; just do something that enriches your life.

-Find a way to give up your vices. Quit smoking, stop taking drugs and try to stop drinking. If you are involved in other risky behaviors, calm down and learn to live a balanced life.

-Mental health is good for physical health. Learn to live in a meaningful relationship instead of just being social. Share ideas that make you unique to your friends.

-Keep your mind active. Read as much as you can, play games of strategy; solve puzzles and improve your memory. Never stop learning. Stay mentally active to keep emotions in check;this decreases Alzheimers risks.

-Maintain hygiene. Always wash your hands thoroughly after being in contact with those who are ill, using the restroom, or cleaning up blood. Beware of bloodborne pathogens with life threatening infections.

-You might want to make lifestyle changes. Address the small stuff first and then begin going to the gym three days a week. Try parking father away from the store entrance, walk your dog, and take the stairs as often as you can. Enjoy your healthy meals and dont rush through eating.
Learn moderation in all that you do. Take time for yourself and try to live a happier and peaceful life.
