The most identifiable city which is related to Karnataka is but of course Bengaluru, formerly known as Bangalore. It is the capital of the state and reflects a futuristic India that undoubtedly makes it one of the top most livable metropolises in the country. With a vast majority of industrious IT people throughout the city, it has been rightly titled as the Silicon Valley of India for concentrating the best IT companies of the world. The city has several epithets such as Pensioners Paradise and Garden City of India and is bedecked with splendid temples, glorious monuments, immortal heritage and many more.
Being a home to several renowned personalities and highly-respected professionals, the city maintains its reputation of being a world class city by offering five-star luxury hotels that cater to the needs of sophisticated class of society. Although, the cost of living is comparatively high, there is still no paucity of finding decent and budget hotels in Bangalore. Various affordable and medium range hotels are available in areas like Malleswaram, Jayanagar and near transport hubs like railway station and airport. While those who come packed with extremely tight budget can sojourn at guesthouses that offer basic services at reasonable prices.
As compared to other cosmopolitan cities, Bangalore relatively enjoys a mild climate round the year. Historical edifices and tourist attractions are the main assets of the city. There are so many places to visit in Bangalore like temple tour, Chowdiah memorial hall, flower and vegetable market etc. that it is difficult to exhaust the list in short trips. Outlanders as well as domestic tourists find it easy to explore the city as the culture and people of Bangalore are accustomed and much more flexible to welcoming people from different countries.
Bangalore has a reserve of entertainment options that match the requirements of every type of traveler. People who have deep interest in history can visit historical monuments and forts like Tipu Sultan Fort that displays impressive Islamic style architecture. The renaissance of architecture is best defined by the Bangalore Palace, the picture of which is visually captured and treasured by domestic and international travelers. Bangalore has a multitude of galleries and museums that showcase some of the most antique pieces or rather evidences of the glorious past.
What is much adorned by the vacationists and tourists is the rich flora and fauna of the city. The wildlife and national park of Bangalore offer a contrasting view from the otherwise busy and populated city. Travelling around the town is not a big fuss as there are several modes of transportation available. The frequent and rushing services of buses, the regular taxi cabs and the traditional Indian auto-rickshaws, it is pretty trouble-free to travel from one part of the city to another.
Although the city to a little extent is pounded by the effects of globalization and modernization, it is rather significant to note that the state has effortlessly managed to retain the flavor of its culture in the society and kept the traditions alive in the eclectic generation.
