Just as we always tell our children to eat the right foods to become healthy and strong we need to make sure their body is capable of protecting them against diseases. We get them their flu shot and other immunizations against known diseases. All of these healthy measures have something to do with boosting their immune system while their young. With that, one of the easiest measures we need to make sure they get as they grow up is their daily dose of chewable vitamin C, which removes the pesky routine of having them take pills they have trouble swallowing.
Growth and Healthy Metabolism
Daily intake of Vitamin C goes beyond the proven fact that it wards off the common cold and many other diseases. It is an important component of the human body, and its deficiency will take a toll on our body in a very visible way. Every single tissue in our body is in its active growth stage while we are young, and this calls for an urgent need to supply sufficient amounts of Vitamin C.
The chemical reactions in our body that keep us going are called metabolism, and Vitamin C is present in many metabolic functions. One metabolism of special note as we grow up is collagen synthesis in that collagen, which accounts for up to 6 per cent of the muscle tissues, is the most abundant protein in the human body. Collagen in children directly contributes to their growth, and its production is dependent on Vitamin C.
Cells make up every tissue and organ in our body. They need to function properly to take part in the millions of cellular activities that contribute to a stable and healthy environment inside the body. They are of course powered by the air we breathe and the food we eat. A compound called carnitine serves as the transport of energy inside the cells. This compound is releases from the liver and necessitates the presence of Vitamin C in its production. Children being in the growth phase need high amounts of carnitine.
Chewable Vitamin C is Perfect for Children
When syrup is not quite the solution, we just have to force our children to take any available form of medication, including the dreaded pills. Chewable Vitamin C comes in handy if we dont want to go through all sorts of ritual, such as the promise of reward or the threat of punishment, for a vitamin.
Does it give our children the right amounts of Vitamin C? Yes, definitely. Vitamin C is water soluble. It gets dissolved in the mouth as the saliva is a water-based fluid, in fact 98 per cent water. With or without water, the saliva makes the vitamin ready for absorption when it reaches the intestines. The only thing that we have to worry about is that children dont get their hands on it just any time since it is quite addicting. With chewable vitamin C, our problem is solved and our children are protected.
If you havent picked up a great tasting chewable vitamin C for your child, what is stopping you from doing it today?
