If you have a passion for photos or if you’re just looking for a great business idea then printing photos on canvas may be the thing for you. There is a lot of expertise that goes into canvas printing but if you do your home work and get some advice from a canvas printer that has got experience then you can make a good little amount of pocket money for yourself. Or even if you’re an artist and you want to print your own artwork on to canvas prints, you could either get another companies to do your canvas printing for you or your could buy some second hand machinery and ad do it yourself.
If you’re looking to make some canvas prints yourself then the main key ingredients would be to have a large format printer, you can get a second hand inkjet printer on ebay for around £1000 upward depending on what size printer you would like. The bigger the printer the more expensive it would be. Then you need stretcher bar frames. You could just start by purchasing a few different sizes and then as you get busier you can add more and more sizes to your collection and then you can start to purchase boxes of a certain size stretcher bar, that way you will get the cheaper in the end.
The next thing you will need is some work space, get yourself some kind of table that is flat so you have room to be able to place your canvas print and your canvas printing work over wile you attach it to the frame. You will need some canvas pliers and a staple gun of some sort. There is plenty of different staple guns for canvas printing online that you can choose from and any of those will do the job.
Then all you need is a computer and some inkjet canvas and then you’re ready to make your canvas print. There is quite a lot to it but if you’re thinking of doing it long term then it get easier as you go. You will need some kind of image editing software to which will enable you to be able to crop images and change the size of them so they fit the frame that you will be framing the canvas print to. Once you have done that then you simply send the job to your printer and let the printer work its magic. Once you have the finished canvas print your simply take it to your table and stretch and staple your canvas photo print over your wooden stretcher bar frame and there you have it, One wonderful work of art.
Like I said before there is quite a lot to making your own canvas print and if you’re an artist that is just looking to make a couple duplicates of their work to show case at a sale or art fair then it might be worth just sending your work to a professional canvas printers for them to make your canvas prints for you as it’s not a job where you can learn it over night and it takes time to master the stretching side of the canvas framing to but if you’re interested in making a few pounds for yourself then it might be worth your trying it yourself. Such a fun and amazing way to get photos in to some kind of artwork form that are great once displayed in a home which is why they are so popular these days and why so many people love them. The way that technology has came now days it’s really great that we can produce such a brilliant and stunning home decoration for all our photos and memories to be show cased on.
