The largest of such cities
Tenerife, a city situated in the Canary Islands, is one of the most popular tourist spots of the country and it is has the largest population in comparison with all the other islands of the archipelago. The beaches of these islands which can be viewed from Car Hire Tenerife and the tropical climate all serve to add allurement to tourists hiring Car Hire Tenerife. There are two airports in this city. One is called the Tenerife North airport. It also goes by the name Las Rodeos and is situated in close proximity to Santa Cruz. Car Hire Tenerife north airport service is available here. The other airport is the south airport. Both the airports have flights connecting the islands with the mainland and a few other cities outside the country like Miami, Caracas and Dakar. Flights are cheap and therefore prove to be a very popular tourist destination for people from the European Union.

The roadways are well paved and therefore buses ply frequently along the routes within the island. The buses have a unique name � �guaguas� and they connect all the major towns on the island. One can have a look at these buses when travelling by Car Hire Tenerife. Another unique and ancient form of transport within the city is the tramway which plies the routes between the urban and the rural section of the city. Even this can be enjoyed simply by sitting at the window of the Car Hire Tenerife. These trams stop at all interesting tourist spots on the city like many museums, theatres, the university complex of Guajara and the two famous hospitals of the city.
Railways in the city
Only as late as 2005, the government of Spain has sanctioned plans for the building of railways linking the south and the northern part of the city. Until then to the tourist, the Car Hire Tenerife has been the chief means of getting around the city. Finally one railway line called the �South train� has been proposed and constructions are all set to begin in the year 2012. However, the plans are being bombarded by environmentalists who are against the rail line as it changes the face of nature on the island. Though this fact is true, Car Hire Tenerife north airport still remains one of the chief ways to get around the northern part of the city.
Hospitals and healthcare in the city
Tenerife has a well planned system of healthcare in place. One can get around to these hospitals by Car Hire Tenerife. There are many primary health care centers and specialized clinics which cater to a particular health issue present in society - heart, kidney and maternity being some examples of such specialized care. There are second and third level hospitals also in this city which are quite accessible by Car Hire Tenerife. �Second level� refers to the fact that there are in-patients in the hospital and services like sophisticated diagnoses, emergency handling systems, rehabilitations and ambulances are present in the hospital.
