Any person can have little imperfections on the face that do not prevent the person from being beautiful but they will make the person feel less desirable to members of the opposite sex. While dating, teenagers usually have hormonal changes that will affect the texture of the skin and some abnormalities like acne can cause unsightly blemishes to form on any area of the body. Cosmetics fix imperfections like this and some will help heal blemishes caused by acne because anti-bacterial agents are built into the cosmetics.

Some birthmarks are considered sexually alluring when they appear on the face, and others will make the mark seem like a disfigurement. Birthmarks can be hidden with cosmetics using foundations and make-up concealers in liquid or stick form. This style of cosmetic concealer can also be useful by helping hide dark patches of skin when it appears under the eyes. Cosmetics fix imperfections like this when they are caused by lack of sleep and other health resources might be required if the dark rings under the eye are caused by deficiencies in vitamins and minerals that were not gained through a proper diet.

All of the essential areas of the face where makeup can be applied can be afflicted with some sort of imperfection. Lips can suffer from chapping due to illness or exposure to wind and weather and cosmetics fix imperfections like this when the person applies coating agents that moisturize the lips, such as chap stick, lip gloss or lipstick. A lip liner would help consumers immensely when the cosmetics fix imperfections such as bleeding lipstick on parched lips. The lip liners serve as a border to contain lipstick colors within a certain area.

Some natural formations of the lips might benefit from cosmetics fixes too. Some people are born with uneven lips and cosmetics fix imperfections such as this by allowing the consumer to draw in lines of the lips and define the lip with a darker color of lipstick. This camouflage trick has been used by women for years and has helped women build self-esteem by making them feel beautiful again. Cosmetics do not have to change the shape of skin to be effective beauty agents. Customers that have control over the way they look will look forward to using cosmetics each day.

Cosmetics fix imperfections such as a washed-out appearance by adding color to skin tones through the use of foundations and the consumer can achieve a more radiant appearance by highlighting cheek bone features with blushers that use more radiant colors. Both of these cosmetics methods will blend together to achieve an overall look that compliment the person's appearance. Cosmetics fix imperfections such as fine lines around the eyes and mouth by using moisturizing agents to make them less noticeable. Anti-wrinkling formulas for cosmetics keep future lines from forming.

Some cosmetics fix imperfections when there is no time available in the busy day to reapply facial makeup foundations and such from the ground up. Cosmetics can be reapplied over old makeup at any time and consumers can feel fresh and renewed after one visit to the restroom. These quick fixes are great to use during the workday and afterwards when meeting friends for an evening out on the town. Cosmetics can improve appearances with very little effort or time involved.
