Here are three things that you should know about before you purchase a black & white cowhide rug.
Tip #1: The Size
Cowhide rugs come in all sizes, and in all shapes. Do not assume that the only type of cowhide rug that you’re going to be able to get is one that looks as though it just came off of the animal. Nowadays you can find black & white cowhide rugs that are not just stripped and cured, but that are transformed into different sizes and different shapes. You can even find quilt rugs that have been made using pieces of cowhide and which are absolutely amazing to behold. If you’re trying to get a black & white cowhide rug for your home, make sure you have the right size for your area before you buy, and that you look at the different shapes, as one of the more unusual shapes may be a better fit for your room than the traditional cut.

Another mistake people make with black & white cowhide rugs is that they do not know how to properly care for them. They enjoy them and then throw them in the washing machine, which ruins them, or leaves them hanging around to gather tons of dust and to begin to fade because they are in direct sunlight.
