When you are first starting out with any type of blog, one of your main concerns should be the type of platform and host you choose to use for your blog. Blogging has boomed on the Internet, with millions of people getting involved in the practice whether strictly for pleasure or as part of a business venture. Based on the response from many and just the sheer numbers, there does seem to be one that can be called the best blog platform.
For millions of people, the best blog platform seems to be Wordpress. Whether it is simply because they have been at it for a long time and most people associate blogging with them or it is because they offer the best options when it comes to blogging can be somewhat of a personal choice. The fact is, however, that with millions using them as both a host and a platform for blogging, it is hard to argue that they are not the best around.
Why do so many people claim them to be the best blog platform? Many people choose them as the platform because the version that you can get that is one where you can self-host does not cost anything. This means that you can create the blog itself using their programs and then use that on another site where you pay to have the blog hosted.
There is some work involved in your part when you decide to set things up this way. Even the best blog platform will have a downside, and some people see the costs involved of setting up your own domain name as one of them with Wordpress. While it is just a nominal yearly fee, it is something you need to consider, particularly if you are only blogging for fun and not looking to make any money out of it.
