If you were to grab a beer with one of the teenage mutant ninja turtles you most likely would be grabbing a few wobbly pops with the one and only Michelangelo. Michelangelo is your comic relief and relaxing member of the group, always looking to crack a joke in the heat of battle. He is one of the most beloved characters and for good reason, everyone loves him! Michelangelo is named after Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni. When you hear cowabunga or booyakasha you have Michelangelo to thank for this, the loveable character created the teenage mutant ninja turtle's catchphrases and were you expecting any other member to be this silly? This article is going to examine Michelangelo's use of his weapon and mastery of his martial art, his role within his brothers, and how his personality works with his brothers. Michelangelo is the turtle you want to be friends with, he loves video games and comic books. Plus, he enjoys pizza more than any living creature, human or mutant. Mickey posses the attitude, spirit and energy that makes him an invaluable member of the teenage mutant ninja turtles and this article is going to showcase this attribute.

When you think of the ninja turtles the lovable Michelangelo wielding the nunchaku is one that comes to your mind. He is an expert at the nunchaku, otherwise known as the nun chucks to us over here in North America. Although in today's culture most people seeing them in use is when people are failing on how to use them and hitting themselves. The nunchaku are normally two pieces of wood around 8 inches long connected with either string or chain. The nunchaku require the user to have to amazing hand eye coordination as well as possess fast hands to be able to properly utilize this deadly weapon. Although the nunchaku was popularized by the infamous Bruce Lee, Michelangelo has the skills and knowledge to beat the master one on one. Another weapon that Michelangelo has mastered is the kusarigama, which is a deadly weapon in its own sense. The weapon consists of a Kama, which is the Japanese version of sickle, a lead weight and they are connected with a chain made of metal. Michelangelo is a master of kusarigamajutsu in both the practices of nunchaku and kusarigama. Due to these skills, Michelangelo is well on to his way to become a grand master of ninja, and is the best candidate to become the first brother in the teenage mutant ninja turtles to become a coveted grand master in ninja and be equals with Master Splinter.

When pressed with a sticky situation there is one turtle that you will hear yell cowabunga from the top of his lungs and rush into save the day that is Michelangelo. When the turtles were growing up there were a lot of fights, not just your normal toddler fights but legitimate brawls. Michelangelo embraces the role of mediator, getting in between his brothers with his calm demeanor is the key to the success of the group. Later on, Michelangelo played a more punching bag role, as his brothers vented their anger towards him both verbally and physically. Lately however, Michelangelo has played the role of comic relief for his brothers. When things were getting tense either between themselves or out in public Michelangelo would throw a wise crack that dispersed the tense atmosphere. He is an asset due to his expertise with nunchaku and is not a liability on the battlefield at all. He fights hard and fair, and will help his brothers out in any circumstance. He just might be making them laugh through the entire fight while giving that little smirk we all know and love.

Michelangelo is the relaxed persona that people gravitate to, there is no other description of what this character does, and he is a fun loving relaxed turtle. He is known to be the immature and underdeveloped brother with such potential for success it is sickening for someone so young. He absolutely loves to kick back, read some cartoons or beat his brothers in some video games. Although if you touch his much beloved pizza you are going to have more than a few issues to deal with, as he claims, he loves pizza more than any living thing on the planet, human or mutant. His relaxed personality perfectly blends with the group, but he is the only turtle with this personality. The rest are interchangeable as Leonardo or Raphael can be angry or be a leader, there is only one easy going turtle and that is Michelangelo. Even when Master Splinter is livid with Michelangelo he is cool and relaxed, not the best thing to be when you are getting screamed at, normally produces more anger. Even though he is the youngest, Michelangelo has proved time after time that he can fight just as well as his older siblings and even do it with a smile and a loud cowabunga to start things off. How can you not love this turtle, simply the best.

Michelangelo is the most beloved brother of the teenage mutant ninja turtles for a variety of reasons none is being more than his relaxed and fun loving attitude. We have looked at Mickey's skills with the nunchuka, his role within the brothers as a vital member of the group and last but not least his personality as a laid back turtle that has not a worry in the world. Every group needs a goofball that is going to keep things lighthearted when you are nervous, this is Michelangelo. He is fun loving, but when he needs to be he turns very serious and is a disciplined master in his martial art and can fight like no other. Michelangelo is the heart of the party and the mediator for the brothers, a vital part of the glue that keeps the brothers together.
