Have you ever experienced dressing up and then suddenly the weather spoil your outfit? Sounds awful but if you have an idea that the weather can go like that, say it may rain in the afternoon, try wearing dress and shoes that are comfortable on all types of weather. So, what do we have lately for best footwear during the rainy season?

Since splatter and possible flooding is expected during heavy downpour, wearing high platform pumps is a very good practice. You may think that it is not for this season if you are after convenience but this type of shoes can actually save your toes from the dirty water. One great example is the Yves Saint Laurent Trooper Platform Pumps which is a very gorgeous footwear to beat any weather. As an alternative, you can go for Brent pumps from BCBG Max Azria which highlights square stacks of heels. This ensures more safety since you can avoid slipping on wet areas of the road.

Disregarding the brand, what are the things to consider when dressing up during rainy days? How can you ensure that even if you trudge through the water, your feet and shoes will stay in good shape? If high platform shoes are not available, you can go for strappy sandals to avoid slip-off of footwear. At the same time, there are shoes that you have to avoid during the wet weather. You must learn how to beat the rain or else, the rain will beat your shoes.

Black shoes are not advisable because they will develop black stains on the feet or socks. Flip flops is also not encouraged since they are open shoes. Suede shoes on the other hand can’t stand the moisture of continuous rain and might fade in color so it will no longer be usable. Leather footwear turns green after the rainy event if you will not dry it properly. With these too much types of shoes to avoid, it only leads us to one thing. Go for high platform rubber shoes or sandals. They have exquisite style plus they can save you from the after effect of rain.

Now, what makes rubber platform acceptable during the rainy season? Well, we are not referring to any rubber. Instead, shoes with sturdy platform or simply sports sandals because they are known for their durability. As for sandals, select the strapped ones so that it won’t flap while you are wearing it therefore dirt and splash of water can be prevented from touching your lower pieces of clothing. Rubber boots become ideal because there are lots of cleaning kits that can do wonders for them. It can even restore the same glam-look of rubber-inspired footwear so that you can ramp it again as the sun start to shine. Wax polish works well on rubber boots as they repel water. Therefore, if you go out wearing your shiny rubber footwear, splash of water won’t seep on them easily. There is a protective layer that can protect the shoe skin.

Another reminder is to avoid shoes with weak stitches or glue and rugby alone because the wet weather can soften them. It can either drive you into danger or even your reputation at risk since sporting a damaged footwear can be an awful experience.
