Some people are entirely unaware that they can write articles, blog posts, and prepare other types of written material on a freelance basis for hire online and earn a great week's pay. It's a great opportunity for stay-at-home parents or for others who are physically or logistically unable to work out side the home. You save money on transportation costs, and save money on other costs you may be responsible for if you are attending a job outside the home such as child care, adult care, and elder care.
In fact, the most difficult part of securing an online job is often knowing where to look for legitimate companies that hire at-home workers on a freelance basis. Freelancing gives you not only freedom of working from home, but freedom to choose your own schedule whether it be while the house is empty during the day and other members of the family are at work or at night to supplement a day job or when children and the rest of the house are off to bed and you have complete quiet. The possibilities are endless and the convenience factor is high!
Below is a list of some online companies that allow you to work as an independent contractor and write material so that you and they can earn some money!
1. Wikinut.com - This site is a great way to get started in your spare time. Wikinut lets you write about any subject you desire and once approved, you earn half the advertising revenue the site garners as a result of your article. Whether you invite friends to read your articles or people randomly show up there and click on ads, you earn half of what Wikinut makes in advertising. Use your knowledge here on crafts, history, science, math, and any other for which you have a knack and earn some money! You earn for inviting friends when they begin to make money, too!
2. Hubpages.com - Hubpages works on a similar idea as Wikinut only you don't earn anything for inviting friends, but this site is more popular and you will get more exposure. It requires no extensive experience in the same way Wikinut does and you can gain some experience before applying to more exclusive writing sites that pay more as a member of this site. You can share your articles on social networks online to share revenue Hubpages earns when people buy items displayed in advertising on your article page such as everyday objects on Amazon related to your article in some way. You are required to have an Adsense account to share revenue on Hubpages and if you don't already have one, they will guide you through the process of signing up for one.
3. Elance.com - This website offers a wide variety of jobs in addition to writing, but as our focus here is written material, Elance is a good place to start. Elance is a marketplace with a wide variety of companies and individuals seeking writers to prepare diverse material for them. You bid on jobs and the bidder with the best experience appropriate for the person seeking to hire staff with the best rate is chosen! Elance.com has a very clear and easy interface on which to communicate with clients. They offer payment through PayPal, check, direct deposit, or through their debit card through Payoneer.com.
4.Redgage.com - If you work for a website that pays you for views of your content, Redgage.com actually pays you to share your work when friends on the social networking site view your content. You can automatically incorporate your blogs and websites into the site and this site generates revenue when you are busy doing other things! They pay via their pre-paid Red Gage debit card they mail to you when you join the site and make your first $50!
5. Knoji.com - Knoji.com is a directory of consumer product guides and an electronic couple database. They seek quality writers on an ongoing basis who are willing to perform research online and who can illustrate consumer issues in clear terms in articles. However, this site is something to submit to when you have already done some writing elsewhere as they require a portfolio of work published on mainstream, recognizable websites or offline publications. As a Consumer Guides writer, this site pays between $50-$200 per article and lets you choose which products you want to review. They pay you on a monthly basis through PayPal and there is no minimum payment threshold.
As you can see, it's actually really easy to make money using only
your computer and the power of the internet.
