If you're looking for an experience that will forever change the way you view nature and our planet, consider one of the coach trips from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon National Park. Grand Canyon bus tours give travelers a great way to see and explore the most famous of all the American National Parks. They're also really affordable!
You can go to the West or South Rim when you leave from Vegas on a bus tour. Both trips begin early in the morning and don't end until 8 or 9 in the evening. You will experience a full day of fantastic sightseeing and will be ready to unwind when you get back to your hotel at the end of the day. Since you will be pretty worn out, it is best not to have other activities planned, such as a Vegas show, for the evening of your return.
If you book one of the South Rim coach trips, expect the drive to the National Park to take about 5 hours. Once you get to the Park, you will get about three hours to explore the region. You will see notable lookouts like Yavapai Observation Station, Yaki Point, and Mather Point. The final stop is usually the South Rim's historic Grand Canyon Village. In the Village, you can shop in the gift stores, dine at a restaurant, or visit a museum.
If you decide to go to the West Rim, it will only take you about 2 hours to get there from Las Vegas. After you get to Grand Canyon West, you will see the Indian Cultural Center, Hualapai Ranch, Guano Point, and Eagle Point. You also have the chance to buy exciting upgrades to your trip to the West Rim. For example, you can take a float trip on the Colorado River, a chopper ride to the canyon floor, or you can buy a pass that gives you access to the fabulous Grand Canyon Skywalk.
Coach trips include free hotel pickup and drop-off at the Vegas Strip hotels, a light breakfast, lunch, the services of a professional tour guide, and entry into the National Park. The drive to the canyon is exciting too since you will see the impressive Hoover Dam and beautiful Lake Mead among other spectacular sights. The buses are ideal for sightseeing since they have over sized windows, clean restrooms, and reclining seats.
Always book your seats as early as possible because these bus trips are very popular and sell out quickly especially during the busy months from April through November. Booking early helps ensure you get the tour and side trips you want to take.
Book your coach trip online as it's the easiest and cheapest way. If you buy your tickets at the last minute at a street kiosk or through your hotel concierge, you will have to pay a lot more. The best place to find the lowest prices is on the tour operators' websites. I book there myself, and I've saved as much as 30% off the regular price. There is no better way to get a steep discount on your trip.
If you are going to be in Vegas anyway, you certainly shouldn't miss the chance to take a bus tour to the Grand Canyon. It is only 120 miles away and you will have a fantastic time.
The South Rim is noted as having spectacular scenic vistas. If you want to ride a helicopter to the bottom of the canyon, you will have to do that at the West Rim since that is the only place it is allowed. No matter which rim you choose, it will be a breathtaking experience. You will be overwhelmed at the sheer beauty and immensity of one of the most beautiful natural formations on the planet.
