Can you work from home as well as having a regular job? It is certainly an interesting and intriguing question and the answer is definitely, yes. You will find many people in the country right now who are doing this very thing. Some are running a home business in their spare time whilst others are doing some freelance work.
Working from home after having put in a full day at work can be tiring, but it is one of the best ways to set up a new business in your own right. It can also of course be a good way to earn some extra cash even if you have no intention of leaving your regular job. However, if and when the money starts coming in and overtakes the income from your regular job, you will be sorely tempted to quit employment and work full time in your home business.
In the current negative economic climate, as we gradually start to bring ourselves out of the recession, having a second income that you create for yourself is good in several different ways. For example earning money in this way is very different from earning money as an employed person. You feel good about it because it comes as a direct result of the effort that you have put in. As such it can provide a great boost to your moral and self esteem.
There are also plenty of people out there who were just dabbling in working from home to begin with; they probably had no intention of making it a full time job. But the success they found themselves having as a home worker prompted them to leave work as an employee and they are now working in their own business instead. So you never know what kind of future opportunities and freedoms you might be opening up for yourself.
It is a lot more secure financially to work from home whilst working for someone else as a full time employee with a regular income. There is no pressure to earn a certain amount of money from your home working efforts in any set amount of time. You can explore different opportunities and ways of making money from home before deciding which one is right for you. And because you have more time to devote to your chosen venture � in terms of having no need to earn money by a certain date � you stand more chance of getting it right.
Can you see just how beneficial it can be to have a foot in both camps? Can you imagine bringing in two incomes for the foreseeable future? Many internet based incomes can be earned perpetually as well. Take setting up a website and earning money through the advertising that appears on it for example. You can do this and earn money from your site even when you are out at your regular job. This is an income that can grow over time while you are still working as an employee. And when your own income matches that of your employee pay cheque, you can decide whether you really want to remain as an employee or go it alone.
